My dogs live here, they’re here to stay.
\nyou don’t like pets, be on your way.
\nthey share my home, my food, my space
\nthis is their home, this is their place.<\/p>\n
You will find dog hair on the floor,
\nthey will alert you’re at the door.
\nthey may request a little pat,
\na simple ‘no’ will settle that.<\/p>\n
It gripes me when I hear you say
\n‘just how is it you live this way?
\nthey smell, they shed, they’re in the way..’
\nWHO ASKED YOU? is all I can say..<\/p>\n
They love me more than anyone,
\nmy voice is like the rising sun,
\nthey merely have to hear me say
\n‘C’mon , time to go and play’
\nthen tails wag and faces grin,
\nthey bounce and hop and make a din.
\nThey never say ‘no time for you’,
\nthey’re always there, to GO and DO.<\/p>\n
and if I’m sad? They’re by my side
\nand if I’m mad? they circle wide
\nand if I laugh, they laugh with me
\nthey understand, they always see.<\/p>\n
so once again, I say to you
\ncome visit me, but know this too..<\/p>\n
